  1. Attend the Crafts Festival (for free!)

Fall brings many unique opportunities to our seaport village, but this event is one you must attend! Visit us September 8-9 of this year to attend the anticipated 31st Annual Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival! We are so excited about this festival that we are providing two tickets to each guest that stays with us during this weekend. You don’t have to be an art lover to appreciate this fun weekend at an extraordinary seaside venue. With over 120 master artisans from across New England, live music, and delicious food & drinks, you are guaranteed to have a great time! Bring your shopping bags so you can return home with some one-of-a-kind handmade pieces or maybe even an item from the $8,000 worth of raffle prizes!

  1. Canoe or Kayak in the Kennebunk River

Summer might be over, but outdoor exploration is still in full swing! This season provides the most comfortable weather, so all of your adventures are even more enjoyable. You can rent a canoe or kayak to get a closer view of the harbor, coastal inlets, islands and rivers around our Inn.

  1. Admire the Fall Foliage

We have handcrafted the perfect mini-road trip around Sebago Lake, so you can see the best of the beautiful sights nearby. Pick up your guide at our reception office and get excited for a delightful excursion. On this scenic drive, you will also have the chance to stop at a few locally-owned businesses, such as a deer farm, handmade furniture store, and pottery shop. Just follow the directions to visit these stops and meet the friendly owners, craftsmen, and potters!

  1. Sail on the Schooner Eleanor

This romantic sailing excursion allows you to relax and take in the beauty of the Maine coastline. As you cruise on the tranquil waters, you will be able to view some unique local sights, such as the harbor seals on Pumpkin Island, the beautiful cottages, and the Bush 41 Summer White House! This is the perfect way to unwind, as you listen to the lulling waves on this classic schooner. All of this awaits just a short walk from our charming Inn!

  1. Picnic at St. Ann’s Church

Reserve our famous lobster roll picnic basket lunch and head to St. Ann’s Episcopal Church to savor it. This deluxe package includes an exquisite picnic lunch of New England’s signature lobster rolls, plus wine, chowder, chocolate chip cookies, and more! Enjoy your scrumptious meal in their gorgeous gardens by the historic, picturesque Stone Chapel. Explore the property and be sure to go inside to gaze at the 25 glowing stained-glass windows.

  1. Bike the Eastern Trail

Take our bicycles for a spin and get your blood pumping with a ride from Kennebunk to Biddeford. The Eastern Trail is a bike path that travels along the coast of Southern Maine. Enjoy each other’s company and the crisp weather on a leisurely cruise through nearby towns. Head northeast to Biddeford, where you can take a break and enjoy lunch at one of their local restaurants before you journey back.
