    Inn Amenities

    The Gathering Room
Just off the main lobby of the inn, centered around a large open fireplace that used to be the original cooking fireplace in 1812, is the formal "gathering/dining room." Here, Bev has provided a pair of high-back wing chairs and a camelback sofa for guests to settle in for conversation or just relaxing by the fire. A toasty fire is kept tended daily for 10 months of the year, excluding our summer months of July and August.

There is a pair of striking oriental carpets dividing the "gathering room" into two specific areas. The second part of the room is where breakfast is served when there is overflow from the Inn's oversized country kitchen. The dining room table and chairs are "centennial Chippendale" pieces that belonged to the original Lord family. This dining room set, as well as one of the Inn's beds, are the only original furniture which can be traced to the Lord family.

There is a second common room on the first level of the Mansion. The original "summer kitchen" retains the authentic fireplace and brick oven. This room is used for small corporate meetings and also has a TV for guest use.

    The Country Kitchen
Experiencing the convivial family-style atmosphere and mouth-watering creations at a Captain Lord Mansion breakfast is reputed as one of the Inn's special experiences.

    Bev's Gift Shop
Bev's Gift Shop is located in the brick and antique beamed garden level of the Mansion. The boutique is brimming with a unique assortment of antique collectibles and smalls. Additionally, Bev has for sale a number of local and handmade items. The gift shop features many fine oil paintings by European artists. Many paintings are also displayed throughout the extensive halls of the Mansion.

    The Conference Room
An ideal atmosphere for small (8-14 person) corporate retreats, this room features many fine appointments; an antique oak boardroom style conference table, hand crafted wainscoting, excellent lighting, and fine oil paintings. There is a sitting area with a fireplace, a couch and wingback chair - the perfect location for a breakout.

"It's many little extras that make Captain Lord
Mansion
an extraordinary inn."
