Kennebunkport Festival Garden Party in June!

Historic Inns of Kennebunkport

The Kennebunkport Festival Garden Party is scheduled for June 7th this year. This, the Mansion’s version of the 2014 Historic Inns of Kennebunkport combined Garden Party to be held during the Kennebunkport Festival, is sure to be another enjoyable afternoon for all of our guests to enjoy tasty Maine-sourced food and wine at, not only the Captain Lord Mansion, but also the three other Historic Inns of Kennebunkport. Guests from each of the four member historic inns will partake of delicious appetizers made with Maine products.

We at the Captain Lord Mansion will be serving Maine Lobster Cakes as well as delicious meat balls cooked in a Teriyaki sauce made in Portland, Maine.

Our wine choices this year will be a very flavorful Sangria as well as a “Summer Breeze Crackling White,” both perfect beverages for a warm spring afternoon.  Of course, we’ll also have non-alcoholic sparkling water available.

Guests will be shuttled from the three in-town Kennebunkport village inns to the 1802 House Bed & Breakfast by Hydidrive in a stretch luxury golf-cart. Meanwhile, the three inns in the historic district will again be treated to music from “Brews and Tunes” which will be held simultaneously on the River Green in front of the Captain Lord Mansion.

We pray the weather cooperates this year so that all the events for the Saturday of The Kennebunkport Festival will go off in good order.  Make your plans now to attend this year’s Festival; it is June 6,7 and 8, 2014.  Your innkeeper, Rick Litchfield
