Top 5 Casual Kennebunkport Maine Restaurants as Recommended by The Captain Lord Mansion

Casual Kennebunkport Maine Restaurants

Maine is know for lobsters and lighthouses, so I’ll start my recommendations of the Top 5 casual Kennebunkport Maine restaurants with Mabel’s Lobster Claw.  President George H. W. Bush was known to frequent this restaurant for their lobster, as well as its other seafood offerings. One dish for which Mabel’s is famous is a shrimp & scollop stuffed baked lobster.  Bev’s dad used to love going to Mabel’s for that dish!  A new casual restaurant offering other than seafood is Pedro’s Mexican restaurant.  When you are tired of seafood, we recommend that this is the place for good honest Mexican dishes and terrific Margareta’s!  Another alternative to seafood is The Ramp, which is located on the harbor in Cape Porpoise; it has the best burgers in town.  Again, when your seafood need is satiated and you just want a great tasting burger with all the fixings, this is the place to go.  Great food and a funky atmosphere!  Within a short walk from the Captain Lord Mansion is Alisson’s which is located right in Dock Square; it is where the locals go in the off-season for reasonable prices combined with great tasting food.  Alisson’s offers traditional seafood plus other choices that I call “comfort food”.  When you want good beer, we recommend Federal Jack’s; it is the home of Shipyard Ale and other custom brews made popular by the Shipyard Brewing Co.  Federal Jack’s offers choice brews, excellent seafood dishes as well as views of the Kennebunk River.  When staying at the Captain Lord Mansion, we’ll be happy to make reservations at one of these casual Kennebunkport, Maine restaurants and give explicit driving directions for you.  Your innkeeper, Rick Litchfield
