Hurricane Irene Does Little Damage In Maine and The Captain Lord Mansion Escapes Unscathed!

Thankfully, by the time Hurricane Irene reached the cold waters of Maine, it had dissipated to a tropical storm, not much worse than the usual Nor’easter we get mostly in the winter.  Damage was limited to scattered power outages, some downed trees with lots of leaves littering the ground.  However, we look forward to a sunny week and a great Labor Day Weekend.  As we approach fall, the Captain Lord Mansion is open for business and still has some beautiful gardens and grounds for your enjoyment. Your innkeeper, Rick Litchfield
