The Historic Inns of Kennebunkport Donate $1350 to Local Food Pantry!

Innkeeper Rick Litchfield of the Captain Lord Mansion, and Hillary Hamilton and Nate Korniotes, innkeepers from the Captain Fairfield Inn presenting $1350 to Beth Jones, from the Church Community Outreach Services, Inc.,the local food pantry provider.  The Historic Inns of Kennebunkport, which also includes the 1802 House B&B, the English Meadows Inn and the Captain Jefferds Inn, conducted a historic inn tour the second weekend of Christmas Prelude.  The $1350 was raised from admissions to the tour and was a record total raised from this annual event.  Every cent collected from the admissions is turned over to the food pantry.  Beth Jones said "this donation comes at a good time because this has been an extremely harsh winter and many folks are in real need because of the extra heating and snow removal costs they have endured."  We innkeepers are proud to be able to give back to the community in which we live and do business.  Since 2011 will be the 30th Anniversary of Christmas Prelude, we are adding some new features for the 2011 Christmas Prelude Historic Inns Tour which will be Saturday, December 10, 2011.  Your innkeeper, Rick Litchfield
